The Trustees and Friends of Burwell Museum would like to thank everyone who supported the Museum this year by visiting it, making a purchase from one of the Friends sales or participating in a fund-raising event such as the Craft Fair and the Minden Band Concerts.Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
We look forward to seeing you in 2008.
Special Events we are planning for 2008 at the Museum
Easter: Easter Egg Hunt. Opening of Burwell Bus Display building.
May: Rhubarb Festival with Christopher South from BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.
June: Children's Magic Show.
July: Summer Fete.
August: Dad's Army Day
Aug Bank Hol: Model Railways.
September: Crafts Day
October: Autumn Miscellany.
Unfortunately there isn't any funding available for the "Childrens Activity Days" in 2008. We are rather disappointed by this as the Activity Days were very popular. Funding may be available for 2009.
Look out for other fund-raising events organised by the Friends during the year. They have at least one a month (yard sales, barn dances, concerts......).
Winston the Singing Farmer will hopefully be making a return visit to Burwell in March. Date and location to be confirmed.
New permanent exibitions/displays are planned for the Museum in 2008 but are dependant on time and money - details will follow in the forthcoming weeks.
